Hey, I'm Claudia Nathan—designer and developer working remotely out of Western Australia. I design for web and product, and develop with Webflow alongside native web technologies.

I work on a few simple principles;

I believe design doesn’t exist independently of the technologies that implement and render it. The constraints and possibilities afforded by technical design and creative development as a synchronous and reciprocal practice creates the best kind of end products.

I believe taste is built through dedication and practice, not gifted. I sharpen mine through relentless iteration, a lot of tinkering, keeping a sharp eye by keeping up-to-date, and deconstructing problems to create solutions that feel simple and right in ways that are hard to describe.

All that being said, after ~12 iterations of this particular site I realised I'd never be happy with my own portfolio and pushed it live as a quasi word document lol (pending updates).

    Upstart Investments is a firm focused on supporting WA’s startup ecosystem through mentoring, investing and advising early-stage technology companies. *The linked site is the old staging website. As it’s no longer actively maintained, many features are no longer working.

    I launched Stackradar in 2023. It was a vetted curation to help people and business of every kind understand, build, integrate and scale their tech stacks.

    The platform grew to 2k members and 5k newsletter subscribers. It came in at #2 Product of the Day on Product Hunt ahead of Claude and Arc, and #4 of the week. It was a cool experience that taught me a lot about tooling and building web platforms without code.

    I decided to close this project down in 2025 to focus on my design career and allow some free time to learn development, which I became exponentially more passionate about because of Stackradar.
